The Sol elicits mixed feelings. On the one hand, it is a dab/nectar collector combo, and that’s reason enough for any vaper to want one. On the other, some of its original features fail to impress. Hate it or love it; however, this is one you’ll want to get your hands on soon—before they run out for good.
This review will touch on the highlights of this one-of-a-kind vaping device so that you can see what the hype is all about.
Let’s dive in.
1 x Mig Vapor Sol E-Nectar Collector Dab/Wax 3 IN 1 Vaporizer pen
Build Quality and Design
The vaporizer has a low profile design. It’s tiny and compact, making it one of the most portable vape pens out there. It is so small that you might initially mistake it for an e-nectar vaporizer; the wax storage is extremely well-hidden.
There’s only one button on the whole thing. Some might say that it’s a bad thing, but the truth is that it makes the rig all the more convenient. This button controls every function of the vaporizer, so even for beginners, it’s not hard to operate.
There’s also an LED light on the vaporizer. Its purpose is to indicate the battery level, charging/discharging status, and the selected voltage. Again, a single LED light simplifies things a lot.
One thing reviewers have mentioned about the battery is that it takes too long to charge. 2-3-hour charge time for a 400mAh battery doesn’t seem reasonable, especially since it doesn’t last very long.
Nevertheless, it’s not exactly a deal-breaker. The Sol is still a great vaporizer.
Features and Performance
1. Dab and Wax Mode
The vaporizer has a well-hidden wax compartment. It can only store little amounts of the dab, but it’s good enough for a quality vaping experience. As a top-loading dab tool, the Sol works as well as any atomizer you’ll find.
Top-loading the Sol is easy enough despite the narrow chamber. In this mode, you have the option of choosing between three voltages, so you can customize your vaping experience as you wish.
2. E-nectar Collector Mode
The next step is to remove the quartz atomizer and replace it with the C1 Touch Ceramic coil. Flip the device over so that the tip faces down and the mouthpiece faces you and voila! You have successfully transformed the dab rig into an e-nectar collector.
This mode offers you three variable voltages as well. Make sure you use a glass or metallic container for your nectar because once hot, the tip can burn through the plastic. Fortunately, it cools down pretty quickly when turned off.
One downside to using this mode is that the air path runs through the whole thing. Fortunately, the taste doesn’t suffer despite the lack of features such as water attachments.
3. Variable Voltage
Each voltage is represented uniquely by the LED light. At the lowest setting, the light turns green, at medium voltage, it turns blue, and at the maximum voltage, the LED turns red.
Using the Mig Vapor Sol on 3.4V and 3.7V leads to a quality vaping experience, but at 4.2V, you will burn through your wax reserves rather quickly.
4.Buttons and Interface
To select one of the three voltages, click the button three times. It will turn green for low voltage, blue for medium, and red for high.
To fire up, press the button once, just like you would any other vape pen. The single LED light is the only other feature on the device. It mostly indicates the selected voltage.
Pros and Cons
- High quality
- Portable, compact, light
- Easy to use
- Universal Micro USB Charging Port
- Three distinct set up’s to use.
- Lots of fun
- Charging costs too much time
The build quality of Mig Vapor Sol is decent, and the quality is not too shabby either. It is straightforward to use, even for people who have never vaped before. With three voltage selections, you can tailor your vaping experience to suit your needs. The battery capacity isn’t stellar, but then again, you’ll get plenty of use out of it before it dies out.
All in all, it is more than good value for money, and a device any vaper would want in their arsenal.
