Design & Build Quality
When it comes to designing their box mods, Sigelei is undoubtedly second to none. The stylish 3D wolf image on the mod’s back really stands out. To be honest, this is one of the best brands I’ve witnessed in the vaping scene. On the front, you’ll get a beautiful 1.3” TFT color screen, and just below it, you’ll get the + and – buttons as well as a USB port for charging and upgrading your unit.
However, one design flaw I found on the Snowwolf Mfeng is the raised sections on the device’s top. While they undoubtedly make a bold aesthetic statement, they will limit the types of RDAs and tanks you can use. Being a fairly wide box mod, 30mm atomizer heads would definitely look out of place here.
Overall, the Mfeng is an attractive vape mod with a rock-solid 510 connection, a fantastic fire bar, and a rattle-free battery door. The back door is held in place by three magnets, one on the bottom and two on the top. This kind of design ensures there’s minimal movement. And let’s not forget that the mod is available in seven distinct colors including full gold, pearl white & gold, silver & black, rainbow & black, bronze, gold & black, and stainless steel.
The Mfeng is powered by two 18650 batteries, which are not included in the kit. I suggest purchasing two packs of the cells because you’ll certainly need two in the mod as you charge the other two. You’ll only need four batteries in total to avoid any interruptions. It can last you a full day and even go untill the next morning with occasional chain vaping.
Color Screen display has become somewhat of a must-have on most modern box mods, and the Mfeng is no different. This unit features a 1.3” TFT color screen that clearly displays all the vaping information such as temperature, wattage, voltage, and of course, the remaining battery charge.
The Snowwolf Lion Sub-Ohm Tank
Topping off the Mfeng kit is a powerful and stylish Wolf Mini Sub-Ohm Tank. It utilizes stainless steel construction and boasts of a whopping 6mL vape juice capacity. Additionally, the Wolf tank measures 28mm in diameter, which means you won’t have to make those frequent and tiring refills.
You’ll also get a threaded top fill system that’s easy to use in case you need to top up, an adjustable bottom airflow ring, and an 810 non-replaceable drip tip. And of course, you’ll get two WF Mini coils; one designed for 80-150W and the other for 150-230W.
Previous Snowwolf Feng Series models have had some few issues with the chip performance. Therefore, the Mfeng was certainly a litmus test that Sigelei certainly had to pass. Fortunately, their box mod performs well as promised. You won’t have any problems reaching the higher end of the Mfeng’s 200W range, although it falls slightly short by our measurement. Suffice to say; it has more than enough to power the included Wolf tank.
If you pair these two beasts, you’ll get some really impressive vaping. The kit includes coil rated up to an impressive 150W, though, you don’t need to get this high to achieve an excellent performance. In fact, I was very impressed with the coil and the tank. This makes me feel that reviewing this box mod was worth the hassle. All in all, Sigelei gets a pat on the back from me when it comes to this mod’s performance.
You’ll get one of these box mods for around $55 depending on where you purchase it. In my view, this is a great steal for a 200W mod that features such a high-end tank. You do have to buy two 18650 batteries, though, as they are not included in the kit.
How to Use the Snowwolf Mfeng
If you’re lucky to have used a recent Sigelei box mod, then I’m pretty sure you can use the Mfeng. It has the same menu system as the other previous models, such as the Top 1 and V-Feng. You only need 5 clicks to turn the mod on/off. The up and down buttons are for scrolling, whereas the fire button is for selection. It’s this simple!
Pros and Cons
• Stylish wolf design with quality paintwork
• Clear screen display
• Excellent battery life
• Pocket-friendly price tag
• Simple to use and refill
• Includes a top-quality tank
• The firmware is upgradeable
• The bottom ridges make the device a bit unstable on a plat surface
• A bit of battery rattle
• The top design limits tank usage
• Lack of menu options
If you’re still looking for a solid box mod with excellent paint, look, body, and excellent overall performance, then I suggest you take a look at the Snowwolf Mfeng. The box mod’s features are relatively easy to navigate, unlike the previous Sigelei models, which score poorly in this regard. This, coupled with the stylish tank, makes this kit one of my favorite box mods currently on the market.
Still, I don’t expect everyone to agree with my thoughts about this kit. But I feel that Sigelei was very close to creating something special with the Mfeng, and I do hope that their next update will even be better.
