At first glance, the Voopoo Vinci is just another addition to the vast majority of other regular pod mods. There doesn’t seem to be anything innovative about it, but under the hood, it hides one of the biggest technological advancements – a GENE.AI chip.

With the ability to monitor every individual’s vaping habits over time, this AI chip can make your life a whole lot easier. Voopoo made sure to keep it modern, elegant but also portable for maximum convenience. It seems like the perfect device, but is it? Let’s dive deeper and find out.

Build Quality

As is the case with most pod mods, Vinci is also rectangular shaped. The body is mostly made out of zinc alloy, although it does have many resin decorations, which give it a beautiful, modern appearance. Surprisingly, it’s very light and pocket-friendly. You won’t have to worry about scratching it quickly since it’s made out of high-quality materials. The edges are slightly rounded for an ergonomic feel.

A reasonably large 0.96” TFT display takes up most of the space on the front. Above it is a relatively large metallic firing button. Two plus and minus buttons are located right below the display and are mainly used to modify the wattage, but they also have other functionality. Different color options are most noticeable on the sides of the device, which are there only for aesthetic purposes.

The very top of the Vinci is reserved for the 5.5ml glass pod. It’s very sturdy and has a tight connection to the rest of the device, so there won’t be any jittering. Most of this product’s heftiness is near the bottom, which is going to nicely balance out its weight even when the tank is full. Since the pod itself is entirely out in the open, you won’t have to go through the hassle of detaching it only to check how much liquid you have left. It’s relatively transparent and easy to see through.

Functionality

The pod has a simple filling mechanism. After detaching it from the rest of the device, lift the small silicone covering on its side to reveal the filling hole. Place the pod on the opposite side of the hole on a flat surface and fill it. Afterward, reattach it back to the body, and it’s ready to go.

To power on the unit, press the firing button five times in succession. The smart GENE.AI chip will immediately detect and set the perfect wattage for the currently inserted coil. This is an excellent addition, especially for beginners. Of course, you can still adjust the wattage manually by pressing either the plus or the minus button if you’re not a fan of automated presets. If you wish to lock the device to prevent accidental button pressing, hold power and the plus button at the same time.

The Voopoo Vinci has three firing modes – manual, auto, and the hybrid of the two. Three quick button clicks will cycle through them. The manual mode lets you vape by pressing the firing button, the auto option means it’s going to be drawn activated, and the third setting gives you the ability to use both.

If you like to monitor your vaping habits, look no further. Holding either the plus or the minus button shows a two-week chart with the number of puffs taken each day. They could’ve added the ability to set a daily limit, after which the device won’t produce vapor anymore, but it’s still a nice feature nonetheless.

Performance

Although it only comes with two, the Vinci supports up to five different PnP coils. The included 0.3ohm mesh coil has a recommended wattage range between 32 and 40W. It’s meant to be vaped with regular e-liquids of mediocre nicotine content. The flavor is very prominent and enjoyable, with above-average vapor production for its size. It has a reasonably tight draw on its own, but the adjustable airflow mechanism can help you modify it to your liking.

The other 0.8ohm regular coil has lower recommended wattage, from 12 to 18W. This one is meant to be used with the strong nic salts of around 30mg nicotine content. It has a much tighter draw, so it’s not surprising that cloud production is somewhat less prominent. The vape is slightly colder, but the flavors manage to remain potent and enjoyable.

Due to the efficient GENE.AI temperature monitoring mechanism, each coil can last up to four weeks with proper care. To increase their durability, always prime them properly beforehand and let them rest for around 10 minutes before you start vaping.

The 1500mAH battery is enough to get you through a whole day of vaping. It’s going to vary slightly depending on the coil and the wattage, so you might even be able to squeeze a couple of days of usage. The Voopoo Vinci features pass-through charging, so you can use it even when it’s plugged in. With the 5V/1A included quick charging brick, it will take around 1.5 hours to get it back up to full.

Final Words

The amount of features that Voopoo managed to fit into this small of a shell is genuinely incredible. The AI chip, 5.5ml pod, and the support for five different coils provide a lot more than you can ask for. It does have its fair share of disadvantages, but so does every other device on the market. If you need something portable that doesn’t skimp on the customization or the performance, it doesn’t get much better than the Voopoo Vinci.
